“growing up, mainstream clothing appeal and style left me UNFULFILLED when finding my style. when i began thrifting, my perception of fashion was reborn. from minor ALTERATIONS such as cropping a mens t-shirt, or designing coats from mens denim, to finding iconic vintage pieces, i fell in love with the exclusivity of timeless, well-fitting clothes. the 90’s/early 2000’s have a heavy influence on my style. other than my own designs, my favorite pieces in my wardrobe have came from SECOND HAND vintage stores.

“MY DESIGN JOURNEY was birthed AT 9, CREATING DENIM BOWS. THROUGH A 4- YEAR SPAN I PROGRESSED, MATURING INTO A SELF-TAUGHT SEAMSTRESS AT 13 YEARS OLD. WHILST ALSO STARTING MY FIRST LABEL, DENIM KOUTURE. MY BRAND IS MY CREATIVE PLAYGROUND. DK REFLECTS PERSONAL GROWTH, BUT ALSO INFLUENCES ME TO REMAIN AUTHENTIC TO SELF.
